Remember that Catalina, for the first time, splits the System and Data
parts of the boot drive into two linked volumes.

It will very likely require a re-write of SuperDuper to deal with that.

Bob, I don't know what you are talking about.

What I am talking about, is the mangled portion following what you quoted, the <whodo678@...>part. My email is whodo678@..., not whodo678=yahoo.com, note the equal sign. and not @groups.io.

Turns out it has something to do with DMARC. I have not figured out if there is a work around.

After I calmed down, I think Yahoo may have inserted into the message the click-able "mark as spam" box. Now that the message is in the spam folder it shows that yahoo disabled images in case I want to view them, and that spam box is there (also disabled), although I don't remember yahoo proactively treating spam.

I believe you are correct.? This open enrollment time is always a nightmare.? Most of the snail mail is even more confusing and annoying.? Thank you for your reply.? It truly helps to hear a calm voice in the midst of panic.

I’m using it in the trial period and will probably continue. ?I’ve only found a couple of games I really enjoy, but it will be worth the $5 (I keep a discounted iTunes balance by buying gift cards when they’re on sale so my actual monthly cost is $4.25) just because the games in Arcade don’t have in-app purchases nor having to watch videos to progress in the game. ?I expect more games will be added over time. ?The trial period is for one month.

I don't use Super Duper, nor have I as yet (because of all the issues) updated to Catalina; but a little googling finds some info. This has a pretty good description of the differences ?in Catalina, and seems to say that a recent beta of Super Duper can mostly handle it, although for situations like an encrypted drive, some extra work by the user will likely be needed.

I have had the exact same problem with CCC. The latter was updated to latest version. Some here suggested a few things for me to try. This has only led computer crashes and problems shutting down. Time machine works also.

Anybody in the group subscribing to Apple Arcade? What is your thoughts about it? Worth $4.99 a month?

I like games but I don't play them much but the idea of Apple Arcade is interesting to me. Not sure I like it that you don't own the game. I play so infrequently that I'm undecided if it is worth it?

I’ve found lots of toners on eBay, Amazon, and local classifieds that cost about 30% less than what Staples.ca here wants for a cartridge... The ones I bought were all factory sealed as new, and genuine Lexmark, last me about 6 months or 2-3000 prints! which is more than I get out of $100 of inkjet ink...

According to what I’ve read on Yahoo! before deleting my account, email will still be available . . . at least for now. I don’t know what Verizons plans are for Yahoo! beyond deleting the groups.

It is a shame for all this to just go away. Yahoo! has been a major player since the early days of the internet. (Think NetScape 1.0). I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Since you do Apple stuff, you can use your xxxx@..., xxxx@... or your xxxx.xxx.com from Apple. Just kind of keep it in your mind in case email does go away at some point. I would venture to say MILLIONS of folks have xxxx@... addresses.

I still have one of those. It still works. An Epson LQ2500 wide carriage. Yes, noisy and S L O W ! I haven’t used it in years. Don’t even know if ribbons are available for it anymore. I hate to throw it away, but it has outlived its’ usefulness.

That is what happened to me. I had the Epson Workforce printers. They did a decent job if I could keep the heads clean. The heads are not removeable like the Canon printers. The only down side to the Brother laser printer is that photos are not nearly as crisp as with the ink jet. However, pictures do render fast.

I haven’t seen any of that on this end. You can see in the quote below what I see. You are listed as ‘Brent via Groups.Io’. That is the way I see all messages.

However, I did get a login to iCloud message once when accessing Apple News app. I hit the CANCEL button and it went away and News ran as expected.

There were three 32 bit apps that I deleted. Nothing that I normally use anyway. So far, things are working incredibly well. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind in the future. 8-D

It used multiple colored films which sequently would move forward over the page to the colored print. It cost about $ 1200 at the time. Very noisy and took long time to complete. It was linked remotely and others could print to it.

As of last night I invited the remaining members who were set to no mail and special notices with a custom invite explains why they were getting an invite. We shouldn’t need to discuss this further. They’ll either join or they won’t.
