My MacBook does not have a MagSafe connector, or I would have been using it. Only 2 thunderbolt ports, one of which seems to be defunct.

Re: USB-C power connector
After wiggling the cable to see what might be loose, one thunderbolt port has completely stopped working. Guess that port was the problem. The other seems ok.

Deleting photos
Hi: I have a lot of photos and would like to delete some off my phone without losing them on my Mac. Everything is in the Cloud. When I have tried to delete something, it is deleted off everything.

Re: USB-C power connector
I haven¡¯t had that problem, but then I usually use the Mag-safe connector.

Re: USB-C power connector
Is the plug (male connector) loose in the port or the port loose in the chassis? Otto

USB-C power connector
The USB-C power connector on the MacBook Pro really sucks. It doesn¡¯t stay snug to provide power consistently. Has anyone found a way to keep it firmly attached?

Re: Safari memory leak?
Both actually, but more the second. One can format a rotating disk drive with APFS, it does not have to be HFS+. 99% of all website programmers program for windows, not accepted standards. Because it

Re: Safari memory leak?
Were you referring to my misunderstanding regarding SSDs vs. rotating platter drives, or to the likelihood that a major website platform hires skilled programmers? -- Jim Robertson

Re: Safari memory leak?
Because I simply didn¡¯t know (that current versions of macOS could run on a rotating platter drive and/or one formatted HFS). One theory that I¡¯ve just now discarded is that the problem is just

Is it even possible to DO that (boot from a rotating platter external drive) in Sonoma on an M3 MacBook Pro?

I¡¯m not sure that one does. Does this happen when you have very few tabs open and/or not a lot of other apps running? Even with great memory management, it¡¯s possible to run out of real RAM. Once

Re: Safari memory leak?
Jim, an OS upgrade seldom fixes problems, unless there specifically is a bug fix. Some sites have a lot of crap-activity going on. That happens to be a popular web site, so may also be popular with
