Re: Question of pictures in iPhoto albums

I think he¡¯s talking about deleting an album. Deleting an album doesn¡¯t delete the photos in the album, because the albums are just like-tagged photos. Deleting the album essentially removes the tag with the name of the album from the photos.?

Try making an album with a duplicate photo. Then delete the album. See what happens to the photo.?

?Bill, I don¡¯t know if this is what you are asking?

No, when you delete photos from a Mac using iCloud Photos, the photo place marker is not left in iCloud;

?I have used Apple¡¯s photo apps since the beginning of forever. Now, I have a long list of albums listed under the heading ¡®iPhoto Events¡¯.
Some of these only have 1 to 4 pictures, and others have more.
As I understand Apple¡¯s photo file storage, If I delete all these albums, I¡¯m really not deleting the photos themselves, I¡¯m deleting the place mark for that photo. I guess I could experiment with some of them, but I thought I¡¯d ask the group to get your advice.

Thanks in advance!
