Re: Fldigi Freezing

Adrian,

I use the WIKI install directions:

I've never had a problem with it unless there's something different with the new version of Linux Mint 22.1 with the new Pipewire update.

You may have been using an incompatible deb install.

Fldigi and Daves other software is quite easy to compile in Linux. You may need to install build-essentials etc, to

setup a build environment, but it is well worth it.

Try a compiled install instead, the existing will need to be purge removed.

Happy to help via TV if you need it.

Re: Fldigi Freezing

Yep, so the multiple entries of Fldigi must be different functions of Fldigi that's running and not just multi instances.
So when I first start my Fldigi the CPU is around 21.1% and yours is 8.2. I haven't tracked mine for any length of time but when it locks up it's 100% and I have seen it go way over 100%.
So now I have to figure out why it does that. I hate to mention it but it runs fine on Windows 11 but I do want to use Linux :-(

1. open the bandwidth?on the transceiver.? Narrow BW is good for your ears, not necessarily good for machine decode.
