I've never had a problem with it unless there's something different with the new version of Linux Mint 22.1 with the new Pipewire update.

Fldigi and Daves other software is quite easy to compile in Linux. You may need to install build-essentials etc, to

setup a build environment, but it is well worth it.

Try a compiled install instead, the existing will need to be purge removed.
