Due to my own personal experience I would never recommend a chromebook for Linux install beyond experimentation.? I have had several chromebooks and none of them ran efficiently or effectively any Linux software I wanted it to run.? Due to the lack of driver support, nuetured hardware, and other things I have abandoned chromebooks altogether in favor of used laptops or Windows PCs, and then installing a fullfledged Linux OS.? My flavor is Ubuntu.?
?
Based on your description you stated you unzipped and nothing...??
?
I have a couple of questions.? FLdigi in Linux is distributed as a build from source app.? Meaning you have to compile it before you can run it.??
?
What flavor of Linux is on your Chromebook? (Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, etc)?
?
Did you follow the Sourceforge Wiki HOWTO instructions to compile and install FLDigi??
?
If you didn't compile it, it won't run.??
