Re: Tech Net Tonight 8:00 PM beeethere!
Hi Jim,
Easy on the Techs and Novices, someone has to hold down the bottom of the ladder as you guys go up!
Besides with some creativity it's amazing to explore the forbidden zones....................
On the Fox Hunt, I whole heartedly endorse this good fun.? Maybe a handheld Yagi class for us folks that would like to? build one of our own?
Also thanks Jim on the heads up of all the coming dates for club events.

Hello Everybody, Tonight is the ?Monday Tech net at 8:00 PM local time 28.375MHz (0300Z).? Open to all licensed amateur radio operators.? Especially ones holding a Technician class or lower license.? Yes, even if you are one of the RARE persons that still hold a Novice class license you are allowed to operate SSB on the Tech Net frequency.? Tonight's topic will be Field Day scheduled for the last full weekend in June. ?
Also as a head's up on the calendar is the club picnic scheduled for Saturday, July 16 from 11:00 am until 4:00 PM to be held at Wiard Park under the canopy.? In the past to rev up some interest we have been known to schedule a hidden transmitter Fox Hunt in the morning prior to the picnic.
Oh, and don't forget the SeaPac convention to be held in Seaside Or the first weekend of June.

Hello KBARA members!
Hope everyone is doing well!
Friday, June 3rd through Sunday, June 5th in Seaside, Oregon, will be the 40th annual SeaPac Convention and ARRL Northwestern Division Convention.
If you have never been to one of the annual amateur radio conventions and are able to, you won't regret it. Lots of unique and interesting amateur radio oriented vendors, major radio equipment manufacturers, and a flea market with hams from all over with items for sale and trade. There are VE testing sessions, training seminars, luncheons, a banquet, radios setup to operate on the beach, and the infamous ARRL Wouff-Hong ceremony! (Watch out for the Rettysnitch!!!)
If you plan to go this year, let the rest of the club know by replying to this thread!
If you have any questions about SeaPac and ham conventions that you can't find on the convention website, send a reply to this thread. Many of our members have been to many conventions and will probably have an answer for you.
Looking forward to your replies!
