Hello,
I have recently connected to an AR Cluster with some rules and filters, I wanted to insert these strings in the convenient "Telnet shortcuts" menu to be easily recalled and sent to the Cluster according to my needs, but their length exceeds the length of the space dedicated to the "Command line" field and is truncated. I thank you for your attention, especially Bob to whom I ask if it was possible to increase the length of the entry dedicated to the command to be sent. Best regards and have a good weekend everyone. 73, IS0GQX Bruno |

Re: TO9W is not in DXCC
You're having a bad day. It's like that until the contest CW stops ringing in your ears. Slow down, take a deep breath and count to ten ....
?
Look at the 12m section of your BandPlan. Under the column 'Stats' is there a Y on rows that you want to keep statistics for? You could also check the you logged the 12m TO9W contact as DXCC #518.

Re: LogSync No longer changing LOTW_SENT flag?
Something is wrong,
?
I had this problem a few years ago, but somehow it was solved. Unfortunately i just thought.
But after yesterday's incident, i retroactivelly checked several uploads from this year.
I found several where the flag was not checked in the log.
For example the last 2 uploads.
I upload manually 1 qso on 15.11.2024. Flag is ok.
Then on 22.11.2024, 5 qso. Flag no changing.
I didn't even notice at first because these are older qso's and i didn't rewind them after uploading.
?
?
And now the whole CQWW log... :( :(? all qso's had to be set manually.
?
LogSync : 2.0.19.8
TQSL: 2.7.5
Logger32: 4.0.323

Re: new installation crashing
Hi Bob? Thanks for your answer, it was precisely that procedure in the manual that you indicated to me that did not work and still does not work, but I tell you that I solved it differently, as I explained yesterday to our friend Rick, reading among the Microsoft forums about others who had a similar problem with other programs at a certain point I read about a former Microsoft programmer explaining his solution, very simple, I was basically able to install and operate Logger32 by performing a command line installation, (To be clear in the old way of the past) so by starting the Administrator Command Prompt I launched the installation from the command line and wow logger32 it was installed without problems and allowed me to enter my call and after that it finished load all modules yes and updated to the latest version. Now don't ask me why I can't tell you, but from what I understand it seems that Microsofte is doing everything because people out there get tired of win10 to make them switch to win11 and therefore Microsoft basically distributes updates that lead to the blocking of some procedures that allow you to install programs that previously worked well in win8 or something like that. Thanks anyway, everything works here now. 73 Ale? |
Re: new installation crashing
Look at
?
Go to section 2.12 on page 68. Thee are several option there. If none of them solve your problem, then you will have better luck with another logging program.

Good luck, SeventyThree(s).

Hi Bob, I wanted to tell you that the procedure that you say you follow from the installation service manual no longer works, here I've been trying for days to understand what no longer works in logger32, I've really tried them all, I even tried starting win10 in safe mode but nothing the program installs but when I start the program inevitably closes. Now: I've done a lot of tests, cleaned up the register, I installed version 3.5 (the zipped one) and when I start the program it gives me the opportunity to enter my call but when the process of updating the loggers starts,32 inevitably closes. however, in the full 4.0 version that you put the link from the manual if I launch the installation and change the properties of the two car installers and the logger32 executable as administrator does not change anything the program closes without remedy, I also tried to start in compactable mode but nothing always the same problem. I ran the tests on three different PCs, but nothing changes. I had Logger32 installed it in 2022 without problems and updated it, but then a few days ago when they told me out there that they had problems, when I launched logger32 WOW to my surprise it would start and close as it does today. I await your response for a solution. Thank you very much. 73 Ale? |
Re: LOGGER32 DXCC FILTERING
The only other suggestion I have would be to use the CC-User application from VE7CC as a pre-processor/filter for the Localhost port of Logger32. SeventyThree(s).

Re: LOGGER32 DXCC FILTERING
Thanks for your suggestions, Bob.? I already have the 1) Block RBN DX Spots match callsign and frequency, and 2) Apply a little sanity to skimmer originated DX Spots, boxes checked.? I also have only spots from Europe to try and minimise the number of RBN spots I receive.? I have had he 2024 option checked since 1 January 2024 because I am only interested in band-slots for this year.
I am using a quicker computer than you, AMD A4-6300 APU 3.7Ghz processor with Windows 8.1 and, despite this, I had start Logger32 every 20 minutes or so during the CQWW CW Contest yesterday because either the RBN spots fell too far behind in time to be helpful, or they stopped altogether.? I am having to do the same thing again this morning in the second day of the contest.? A friend, who also tried using Logger32 in the contest yesterday, found the same thing as me.? He is more tech savvy than me and suggested the telnet side of Logger32 [and post-processing] is taking lots of CPU percentage and processing slowly, taking 45%+ of his processor power.? He said the average RBN spot rate in major contests is about 250 per second these days. I had no idea it was as high as that.
I tried setting up Ham Alert, as Prasad suggested, and logging onto that instead of the RBN, but found that only gave me needed band-slots for the whole of my log book (since 1973) that, as you can imagine, doesn't have nearly as many needed band-slots as those for the current year.? I will continue playing with Ham Alert and Club Log to see if I can find a way to only highlight 2024 needed band-slots in Logger32, and if I do, I will report back here.
?
Thanks again Bob and to the others for trying to help.? At least on Monday after the contest we will be back to the normal RBN spot rate. |
Re: LOGGER32 DXCC FILTERING
At the top left cell of the Worked/Confirmed window you will see ALL in red letters. Click on the cell and the text will change to 2024. Magic, DX Spots are highlighted based on who you have worked/confirmed this year so far. SeventyThree(s).

PS. I waited all day for someone to answer your question. Hard to believe I'm the only one on this 'one way skip reflector' who knew that.
