Re: help about telnet cluster and qso AD

maybe I didn't explain myself well. my Adif file was loaded regularly in Loger32. the problem I encounter is that in the window for inserting a new QSO there are frequency, mode and band already set that I don't know where it gets them from. to get around this problem I have to use manual insertion. I hope I was clear

Again, my apologies. I still don't understand. If you have an ADIF file of your logs, why not simply import the file? See section 3.1 (Page 90) of the help file. SeventyThree(s).

i answer: why should one insert old qsos manually if he has his ADIF file of his old log? and loads them into the new LOg automatically?
anyway. thanks for helping me it was just my personal opinion

but if you decide to switch to another log there is the ADIF file that exports them and imports them into the new log. do not insert your old qsos one by one manually. anyway. thanks I'll check your help

If you want to enter the gridsquare when entering a QSO, you must configure the logbook entry window to show gridsquare. Section 6.2.3 (Page 161) of the help file explains how to do this.

Why are there two windows for entering QSOs in Logger32? Logger32 is a program for logging QSOs real-time. The Logbook Entry window is designed for that. You can put whatever fields are important to you, and enable?many options for quick real-time logging. Most users never use the ADD QSOs window. If they do, it is only to add QSOs from old logbooks. Look at Note: 140 at the very bottom of page 206 of the help file for recommendations.

thanks thanks for your help. the Telnet problem has been solved.
now if I add the qsos manually in the log window section the locator is not entered.
the thing I would like to understand if you allow me, why these two forms of qso insertion? when there could be one and differently architected?
my opinion

Look at section 13.2 (page 295) of the help file. The green 'Hanson tip' tells you to use the Lucida console font so that DX Spot columns align correctly.

Section 8,2,1 (Page 206) of the help file explains ho/where to open a window to manually add QSOs to your logbook. On this window you can set Band/Mode/Frequency/

I took some images from google as you can see the TELNET cluster window is aligned. The QSO insertion window has more information but I can't understand why it doesn't let the user enter the band and mode

1) use a font like Lucida Console for the Telnet Window.

hi
i am a new user of logger32 and i am trying to understand its potential day by day before switching definitively, although in my opinion i see it not very intuitive but with time maybe.....
i have two questions to ask who wants to help me:
1) how do you align/justify the lines in the TELNET cluster window?
Akira Yoshida:?
You should open DX spot window? (not only Telnet window)

2) the QSO insertion window i find it difficult to insert the contact, i have to use the manual one. in my old log i do not enter the frequency but only the band and mode here it asks me for the frequency and i see the default frequency and mode. how can i vary this window by adding other fields as i like?
thanks
Akira Yoshida:?
If you want to add old QSO in Logger32, then you should use "Add QSO manually" window.
