Looks like you've done everything as suggested. Before you attempt to uninstall/reinstall Logger32, be sure to save all your logbooks safely in ADIF format. Check that all QSOs have been saved, and keep them safely somewhere off your PC. 73.

Hello Bob,
Following your suggestion I performed?CHKDSK c: /f - I hope and assume I did it correctly:

a) Command Prompt?with Admin privileges.?

STEP 1: Restarted the PC, and on the screen?was a message that the disk?was examined and errors corrected?before W10 was loaded,?then W10 started loading.
STEP 2: Started L32
RESULT: problem remained

b) PowerShell with Admin privileges. At the prompt type?

Do you think erasing?and reinstalling L32 might cure the problem?

Thank you,?

Not quite?he test I had in mind. Start a Command Prompt (or PowerShell) with Admin privileges. At the prompt type CHKDSK c: /f??Use C: for the C drive, and /f to automatically fix any errors,
?
You might also check that you are not running out fo disk space. Maybe the disk optimization/compression needs more space. I don't know.

Did the scan?with?Windows CHKDSK utility of Hard Drives? (C) & (E) - no errors were found.
?
Problem still unresolved.

Bob I?appreciate your time and assistance very much.
If you or anyone else have any additional suggestions, I would appreciate it very much.

I think you will find the error message pops up when the download of the Club Log exceptions completes, and not when you start VE7CC. This is easy to test.
?
Messages on the Club Log download window verify that the download completed successfully and no data was lost. Then the process of optimizing/compressing the new file starts. This fails (you see the error message).?
?
So why can't Logger32compress the file? Could it be corrupt data on the disk? Try running the Windows CHKDSK utility to look for errors. Other than that, I have no suggestions. SeventyThree(s).

Hello Bob and thank you for your prompt response.
?
Yesterday after your 1st email, suggesting that "The error message is because your download of the Club Log exception database failed. Try it again.?" I tried 3 more times, but the problem remained.
?
In yesterday's trials I did the following:
?
STEP 1: The very first time in the day when I open L32, the Automatic AUTO UPDATE?process of Club Log exceptions update starts - no Errors are?displayed.
?
STEP 2: Connecting to VE7CC following Error pops up:
?

?
I press OK TAB and exit L32
STEP 3:????Start L32 but this time, NO- Auto Update of Club Log Exceptions updates starts.
STEP 4:? ? I Do manual update of Club Log Exceptions Update, looks OK, no Error shows
<image.png>
STEP 5: I connect to VE7CC - Error pops up and Pfx?? column is populated with ??
Yesterday I repeated steps 3 to 5, three times with the same failure result, so decided to try again next day (today) so the Auto Update of Club Log Exceptions updates process will start first automatically.?
??
Today?I repeated steps 1 to 5, first time, and then additional three times steps 3 to 5, the problem?remained.
?
Thank you very much for your help.

Hello,
Asking for your assistance in resolving Pfx?? error, see attached.
Restarting L32 and or PC (W10) doesn't cure the problem.
Thank you
