? Both of those products are listed by
the sellers as being made of ABS, which you say that you
wouldn't go with?

Re: [ham-amplifiers] Need advice on HV connectors
Yep. The same dog, different leg action to the Teflon ones
I described on Ebay. You can also find them much cheaper on
Ailexpress. I've also previously bought and used the style
that Scott mentioned, from Ebay and they are excellent.
However, the ones of that style on Ebay at present, are made
of ABS plastic, so I would not go with them.
The good ones are;
Ebay Item? 133455618357
Aliexpress
Item 1005007583822381
Simply hard wire the amplifier end of the HV wire into the
amp through a clearance insulator and have the socket
mounted on the rear panel of the power supply. If the plug
gets pulled out when the HV is on, which is unlikely, as the
connectors are a very firm fit, then nobody gets hurt. That
way, you also only need one plug and one socket.

Don't depend on haphazard grounding for HV power return,
run a
separate dark cable for the HV return in addition to
having a common
shack grounding system.
Use bright red HV cables and purpose built HV connectors.?
Millen HV
connectors have been used in Amateur radio applications
for a long
time.
