Simply hard wire the amplifier end of the HV wire into the amp
through a clearance insulator and have the socket mounted on the
rear panel of the power supply. If the plug gets pulled out when
the HV is on, which is unlikely, as the connectors are a very firm
fit, then nobody gets hurt. That way, you also only need one plug
and one socket.
