Perhaps using a DMM you might wish to verify the

Amplifier Keying Jack on the ‘3000 is closing when

you PTT.

Perhaps you might rig up a dummy jumper with

a switch to actually operate the keying on the

amplifiers.

?

That will help pinpoint.
