Re: It has been awhile and I forget how to get past a power loss

Hello Dave,

Window 10 allows you to set the window or turn off the auto reboot, as I remember.

I've been going with the auto reboot because I know it is for the best to let Windows do the auto updating.

I wish Micro$oft allowed us to specify a list of programs that if running prevented auto restarting (instead of how it figures it out today.? I bet it has something to do with CPU utilization.? LOL? Maybe I should write a program to use up CPU in VM/CE.

Ah. Gotcha. I would wholeheartedly agree with you on that one, Dave.

But I'm running Windows 7 which doesn't seem to have that problem. If something requires a reboot, it ASKS you beforehand, giving you the chance to decline and then reboot later when you're ready to do so.

I've heard that later versions of Windows (such as 10 and 11?) simply reboot whether you like it or not if you delay the reboot for too long (or so I've heard). Just one of the many reason why TODAY'S Windows does indeed truly SUCK! (IMHO)

Windows 7? Nice!? :)

Windows 10 or 11? SUCKS!? :(
