Good morning, Mark, Thinner is always better for these small pick-up tube air-type guns.? Acrylic enamel is common for car paint.? It is very thin...as thin as, possibly thinner (viscosity-wise) than water. While I haven't painted a plane (yet?), I see that Polyurethane (PU) is common -- no experience with how thick that is or what is used to thin it, however.
