For those of you familiar with Zoom webinar, I had a very frustrating experience yesterday where a number of our webinar registrants were effectively 'locked out' from joining . They had all registered in advance, were approved, and received a link to join; yet, when they clicked their link and input their password, they were sent to a registration screen that told them "the event is full and registration is closed." Many gave up in frustration.

Do any of you have experience with this, and how do I ensure it does not happen again? Zoom support in unfortunately unavailable right now.

Alec, check the set up of the event to see if it had a maximum number of participants set. So if it is set at 100, and 120 people register, those coming in once 100 is reached are locked out.?

Thanks for this feedback. The number of participants was set to 100 because that is the webinar plan we registered for. We did not (could not) have had more than 100 people try to join because I manually approved each and every registration and we only had 100 people approved. They were the only ones who got the webinar link in advance via email. Is there anything else it could be, or you feel certain that is it?

I should add, from my host view I only saw 45 participants during the session when 100 had registered in advance. I am still getting emails from registrants today that they were unable to join and I am thinking now that the majority of those who did not make it were not able to.

Check your settings there is an option regarding this. Hope this helps. ?

Alec, I would contact Zoom. I have heard of something similar, but alas, I can't recall what the solution was. If they don't answer, holler and I'll try to get an answer through the back door of a community where there is a Zoom employee present. ;-)
