Great initiative.? I echo Amy's response...guess we're paddling alongside each other :)
If work is needed soon (where I have the skills) ask for specific tasks with directions and I'll do what I can.

Great to see this idea gelling.? I think there are many groups still who don't have a clue about virtual learning and communities.

Re: Link to join Global Liberating Structures Workspace on Slack

Hey, Liberating Structures practitioners hanging out here. I'm working on my second blogpost on how to think about/plan for moving stuff online using Ecocycle Planning. I have drafted up an online template. Anyone interested and willing to test it/offer suggestions? I hope to have the blog post up by tomorrow, so this is a "today" thing! (Sunday)?

Thanks

Re: About moving to teach online

Thanks, Pete. Added to the doc?

There are some educators who are really well connected to other educators online and they are already naturally supporting each other. As I wait here to find out if our local public K-12 schools will close, I think about what support educators who are NOT connected will need to continue to teach if their school closes. Of course in an urban district like Seattle, the issues of equity and access to online learning are significant, so people are thinking about mailing lessons, etc to families.?

Does anyone know of people/resources who are starting to reach out and support these less online-familiar teachers?? Tony Carr, are there lessons from South Africa??

About moving to teach online

I thought this might be of interest. -- Pete

And a URL to add this to your calendar. At least I think this will work:?

Zoom Gathering to Creatively Destroy Terrible Online Meeting Habits March 12

Nancy White is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Too many of us know that current online meeting practices can be painful. Take your terrible offline meeting and make it doubly terrible online. Let's do a TRIZ together in Zoom (http://www.liberatingstructures.com/6-making-space-with-triz/) and come up with a few things to STOP doing that might make a difference as Covid19 forces people online. 60 minutes. It would be great to get a sense of how many of us will be joining. Let me know?

I can capture notes during Thursday's zoom. (Thank you, Nancy, for everything you're doing around this)

Hi, will you post a calendar invite zoom link to the meeting?? Interested in attending.

Hi Nancy, I¡¯m super interested in that NGO group too! Folks at my NGO seem to think just having Zoom accounts is enough. It¡¯s a good start, but way short of enough.

Thanks!

Re: Sharing of the resources-page - your thoughts?

I'm starting a series of blog posts about moving meetings online. THe first is really just a reflective preamble.?
'
I'm currently drafting the one with pragmatic suggestions, using Ecocycle as a tool to see the system before diving into solutions. If anyone has an urge to collaborate, let me know. I think this would benefit from more minds. I can move it into a google doc.?

In the mean time, a few folks have stepped up to support curation of the resource page. When I go in, I notice a lot of cursors parked over the document. I think people are visiting it and it can use updating/curating. Dive in if this is your forte.?
