Re: Artifacts from DEConstruct/REConstruct event on March 27
Clearly I should not copy/paste URLs on a Sunday evening!?
First, the correct URL for DE/RE artifacts from the 27th? The evolving narrative or "instructions" for the process (seriously, a very early version/work-in-progress)? As people join in this process, I"ll be looking for co-editors! Second, the great folks at The LIberators in the Netherlands write about their use of Strategic Knotworking to face their own organizations disruption in the pandemic. For those of you who joined us Friday, the six questions we used are the spine of? Strategic Knotworking?? |

Re: Artifacts from DEConstruct/REConstruct event on March 27
Hi Nancy, Thanks for that - both links were the same though and lead to the event page, so couldn't see the artefacts or slide links. Will be joining on Wednesday so would be good to see how the first session went. Sorry! Obviously, I hadn't read the article (having seen a few other reports about the recent problems with Zoom). For much larger groups, apparently FreeConferenceCall.com works well, but it wouldn't have the safety features needed where confidentiality is critical. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Nancy, all, A while ago I moved our company to Rocket.Chat () which is an open source Slack replacement that one could self-host or obtain as a service. Indeed, it is mostly for async and sync conversations, not for higher overviews or storing stuff. best, Ton On 19/03/2020 16:55, Nancy White wrote:
The free version of Slack has a limit on messages. The paid version is by seat, which is ok within orgs, and much more challenging for groups that are not within an org boundary. There is no higher level "line of sight" to messages as well. So great for the quicker interchanges. More challenging to really read, weave, make sense in the "old skool" sense! |

Hi All,
I haven't been reading everything, so I'm not certain if you've seen this. I did see someone in the list serve say "be careful about downloading Zoom". I was, and others were wondering why. Here's why. Great reminders of settings/practices that promote better privacy. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Michelle! In roundtable you ask what people are most interested in discussing, and the answer and rate.? The algorithm then creates the groups (you may choose how many groups or how many people per group) based in their interests. People receive in their devices which group to go, the topic and who else will be there. Thoughtexchange is trying to create a way to combine this feature with Zoom breakout rooms. Can you imagine this?..;) So far I plan to run the exchange, have a 10 min. break, while setting up manually the breakouts for each group.? Would love to run an experiment with people interested..:) Fernando Murray Loureiro On Mar 29, 2020, at 9:07 AM, Michelle Laurie <michelle.k.laurie@...> wrote:
