I'm helping another client prepare to host listening sessions with the members of their association. Participants will engage with each other in Zoom Breakout Rooms, using Google Docs to take notes for later harvesting.
The client wants to explore 3 questions over the course of 1 hour. I've recommended that they give them one question at a time, returning to the Main Room to receive the next question.
In addition to managing the time they spend on each question, this is also a chance to mix up the groups so that people can interact with a new group of peers.
What has been your experience of re-creating rooms in the same meeting? If you allow Zoom to randomly assign people into the rooms, will it mix up the participants to some extent? Or does it work from the participant list and just group them alphabetically?- so that there is little/no variation in group composition across multiple rounds?
