Has anyone used a greeter for larger meetings online??

A client has suggested using the main zoom room as a 'greeting' room and then people go to a breakout for the plenary sessions. She would then stay in the main room to guide people who come late. I have never done this but I am curious if you have.?

If so, anything I should be aware of??

As the plenary sessions will then have some breakouts, I am wondering how I would do breakouts if people are already in a 'breakout' room.?
