Chat clean up ‘easy version’ by :?

1. Open the chat transcript .txt file. Select all and copy.?

2. Paste into a MS Word doc

3. Highlight one of the time stamps up to and including the From: that sits at the front of the chat message. Copy.

4. Choose search/replace. Paste what you copied into the search box. Place your cursor in the replace box but don't put anything else in it.

5. ??Replace each of the numerals in the time stamp with a question mark? (?) - the question mark here serves as a wild card for any digit. Keep the : in the text

6. Use the drop down box in the lower left for advanced options and select "use wild cards."

7. Hit search/replace and choose "replace all"?

8. Voila!
