Heck I feel sorry for anyone who has/had to learn English as a child!

Isaac Asimov once wrote as to how English was probably the most difficult

language to learn as an adult. Somewhere in one of his many essays...
English is rather easy to learn sufficiently to be able to get around. It
is very difficult to write and speak correctly.
For example, Swedish has male, female, neuter type1 and neuter type-2.
There are 5 different plural endings.
The definite article is tacked on at the end of the word and varies
depending on the gender and single or plural.
