¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWith respect to your lathe I'd make 3 mounting posts.? Say about 1" long.? You will put them on the end casting in a rough triangle arrangement.? You could use a counter bore to reference the holes in the casting to make a flat surface for each post.? Then a of square perpendicular to the ways and then the second ?parallel to the bed surface pressing against the first with the square hanging down. Then draw a vertical line on each post.? ? Theoretically you should now have a vertical plane perpendicular to the ways maybe 3/4" out from the end of the lathe. ? ? Now take the three stand offs and use your lathe to cut them to length.? Or maybe make a shouldered length and turn a thread on the end. ?Lots of options here.? Once they are all in place bolt a plate to this.? Depending on where it sits etc. you could just bolt the motot to this with slots for tension adjustment. Or ad a tension idler.? Or a plate with the motor that pivots for tension adjustment. ? Lots of methods. ? Or just bolt the lathe to a table top and then mount the motor to the top too. John ? ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ralph Hulslander
