Doug, Would you or anyone else in the a1g group happen to know the history behind this car it reads LACKAWANNA 897 to me it appears to be a repainted car. My other thought was it could be a Rivarossi car which CC- CONCOR- Imported... see photo.

It is a?Rivarossi car made while Con Cor was importing them back in the late 1970s.

I agree with Michael and there were other importers along the line too. Usually, Con-Cor would put one of their stickers with their catalog number on the package/box but not necessarily. Rivarossi made their heavyweight cars in many,many roadnames after the separation with Atlas.
