Site update and request
Hi everybody,
I have added a description page for the A1G Cows and Calfs and a page for disassembly of each A1G locomotive to my Atlas first generation motive power site. The only loco for which I haven't written up a disassembly is the Cow and Calf because I don't have any of these. I could write it up using diagrams I have of them but I prefer to actually have one to do this. And, therein lies my request. If anybody has any of these in need of repair, if you would send it to me, I will repair it in exchange for allowing me to use it to write up the disassembly. Thank You, Doug Gosha |

Passenger Cars on the site!
umtrr
OK, I said "the end of 2003"-- this is December 35th, isn't it?
:-) Anyway, the Passenger Cars, all three series, all offerings, all roadnames, are all posted to the A1G site. Let's call this a "beta test" before I announce to the rest of the world... and then click on "A1G"... Cheers, George |
Website correction
I have corrected all references to "Mehano Tehnika" to "Mehanotehnika" on the
A!G Motive Power site after I finally realized that it's one word. Also, I have added a bit more info on the Rivarossi motor page. There is now a table of specs. and some more info regarding commutator inspection in the "Problems and Repair" section. Doug |
0-4-0 page correction
Hi everybody,
Thanks to Peter Moore from Australia, who jogged my memory (or what there is left of it), I have changed the dialogue on the 0-4-0 page on my site to reflect that Atlas released the Rivarossi-made 0-4-0T (#2187) apparently in every other area of the world but the US. Also, thanks to Ola for the picture in the A1G files section so I could verify that it is indeed a C16. Gosh and it wasn't all that long ago we had a discussion about this. Doug |
Re: My A1G accumulation progress and for sale A1G items

Now, for those who want to buy some of my surplus...Thought I would post that the surplus has been sold out. There will be more as time goes by. BTW, there is a Food Fair 86' stock car on ebay right now for those looking for them (I own three of them so don't need anymore). FWIW, Edward Bridges A1G accumulator Granger, Tx |
My A1G accumulation progress and for sale A1G items
Here is an update on my A1G accumulation. I have acquired most of
this since July (from auctions), when I started hot and heavy on gathering this stuff. Everything listed here is mint in box condition (I no longer carry 'out of box' cars in my accumulation as I prefer MIB as I do not run mine. I look at this as an investment). This is merely an update of my accumulation, for sale items listed toward the end of this post. 2201-2206 2221 2222 2231 2241b-2245 2251-2253a/b 2262 2264 2265 2272 2273 2282a/b 2286a/b *(photos of new variation found to follow) 2287a/b 2288a/b 2292 2293 2296 2297 2301a 2302a/c 2303b 2304 2311 2312a/b 2313 2314 2321a/b 2322 2323a/b 2331 2332 2334 2341-2342 2346-2348 2351-2352 2361-2363 2365-2366 2373-2374 2381b-b1 (two variations of same road number here, photos to follow) 2382-2383 2388 2391 2393 2401-2402b 2403-2404 2411-2412 2416 2418 2422 2431 2433 2435a/b 2436 2437 3003-3004 3021-3022 3032-3034 3101-3102 3104 3111a/b(variation photos to follow) 3112-3114 3121-3124 3130-3134 Now, for those who want to buy some of my surplus, here is the list of FOR SALE items: BOXED CARS (these cars are still in original box, but not necessarily all are MIB, some are runners in boxes). 2206 (3 available) $5 each 2221 $6 2282 $5 2293 $6 2301a $5 2304 (2 available) $5 each 2331 (2 available) $5 each 2348 $15 2366 $5 2401 $5 2402 (2 available) $5 each 2411 $5 2436 $5 UNBOXED "RUNNER" CARS (these cars are not 'collectable' but in somewhat decent shape [unless noted]). 2204 $6 2205 $2 (bad shape) 2262 $4 2264 $2 (missing one railing) 2287a $3 2287b $18 (FIRM) 2288a $4 (2 available) 2292b $3 2293 $4 2302c $5 2313 $5 2314 $5 2323b $7 2332 $5 2341 w/load $10 2341 no load $6 2351 no load $5 2418 $4 2435a $3 (no roof details, heavily modified paint) 2437 $4 (no roof details) 3003 $8 If interested in any of the for sale items email me offlist. A1G (Re) Introduced on Atlas Forum
umtrr
Doug, thanks for taking the initiative. Since we're now "official"
on the Atlas Corporate Website... and we are FIRST on that list of links!!!... I went to the Atlas Forum and posted an invitation to check out the three sites. I call it a "re-introduction" because I know it's been mentioned before. If any of you are that venue, please feel free to "bump" the topic with an endorsement :-) Let's see if that drives any "business" to our sites... Cheers, George (Now, back to those Christmas Cards!) |
Atlas links
Hi everybody,
I wrote Eric at Atlas about the possibility of including links to the three a1g sites last week. I received a reply today from him and he indicated that he would like to do this. So, I took the liberty of sending him the URLs to the sites. I hope this is OK with you guys, George and Ross. If not, let me know and I will email Eric again. Doug |
Re: Interesting variation of 2435 "transfer" bay window caboose
edwardbridges
I have two red and one brown version of this car and all three have
the number on the bay window. One of them is in bad shape, the other two are practically MIB. I am willing to part with the one in bad shape. Edward Bridges Granger, TX |
