Site Update

Hi everybody,

I have added an article on my A!G motive power site that deals with different
issues with specific A!G locomotives affecting operation.

Regards,
Doug

Site update and request

Hi everybody,

I have added a description page for the A1G Cows and Calfs and a page for
disassembly of each A1G locomotive to my Atlas first generation motive power
site.

The only loco for which I haven't written up a disassembly is the Cow and
Calf because I don't have any of these. I could write it up using diagrams I have
of them but I prefer to actually have one to do this. And, therein lies my
request. If anybody has any of these in need of repair, if you would send it to
me, I will repair it in exchange for allowing me to use it to write up the
disassembly.

Thank You,
Doug Gosha

I read mine as 1418 as well.

The only difference I noticed between your listings and the cars I
have is that for the AT&SF Diner, you have road number 1410. My car
has 1418.

Get out the Opti-Visor... I rechecked and it does look like 1418 to
me. I changed the listing.

Cheers,
George

Passenger Cars on the site!

umtrr

OK, I said "the end of 2003"-- this is December 35th, isn't it?
:-)

Anyway, the Passenger Cars, all three series, all offerings, all
roadnames, are all posted to the A1G site. Let's call this a "beta
test" before I announce to the rest of the world...

and then click on "A1G"...

Cheers,
George

Re: Passenger Cars on the site!

Oops, forgot to say that it is the heavyweight diner #2603.

Website correction

I have corrected all references to "Mehano Tehnika" to "Mehanotehnika" on the
A!G Motive Power site after I finally realized that it's one word.

Also, I have added a bit more info on the Rivarossi motor page. There is now
a table of specs. and some more info regarding commutator inspection in the
"Problems and Repair" section.

Doug

0-4-0 page correction

Hi everybody,

Thanks to Peter Moore from Australia, who jogged my memory (or what there is
left of it), I have changed the dialogue on the 0-4-0 page on my site to
reflect that Atlas released the Rivarossi-made 0-4-0T (#2187) apparently in every
other area of the world but the US.

Also, thanks to Ola for the picture in the A1G files section so I could
verify that it is indeed a C16.

Gosh and it wasn't all that long ago we had a discussion about this.

Doug

Re: website update

hmm, I don't know why the URL didn't appear as a hyperlink. Oh well, copy and
paste I guess.

Re: My A1G accumulation progress and for sale A1G items

I, for one would love to see Edward's additional variations he's found. I
seem to have forgotten which cars are involved though.

Good work on ferreting these out, Edward.

Now, for those who want to buy some of my surplus...
Thought I would post that the surplus has been sold out.

There will be more as time goes by.

BTW, there is a Food Fair 86' stock car on ebay right now for those
looking for them (I own three of them so don't need anymore).

My A1G accumulation progress and for sale A1G items

Here is an update on my A1G accumulation. I have acquired most of
this since July (from auctions), when I started hot and heavy on
gathering this stuff.

Everything listed here is mint in box condition (I no longer
carry 'out of box' cars in my accumulation as I prefer MIB as I do
not run mine. I look at this as an investment). This is merely an
update of my accumulation, for sale items listed toward the end of
this post.

A1G (Re) Introduced on Atlas Forum

umtrr

Doug, thanks for taking the initiative. Since we're now "official"
on the Atlas Corporate Website... and we are FIRST on that list of
links!!!... I went to the Atlas Forum and posted an invitation to
check out the three sites. I call it a "re-introduction" because I
know it's been mentioned before.

If any of you are that venue, please feel free to "bump" the topic
with an endorsement :-) Let's see if that drives any "business" to
our sites...

Cheers,
George

(Now, back to those Christmas Cards!)

Re: Atlas links

Eric at Atlas has already added the links to the A1G sites on their link page
under the Model Railroading heading on that page.

OK with you guys(I'm pretty sure it will be :")?

Doug

Atlas links

Hi everybody,

I wrote Eric at Atlas about the possibility of including links to the three
a1g sites last week. I received a reply today from him and he indicated that he
would like to do this. So, I took the liberty of sending him the URLs to the
sites.

I hope this is OK with you guys, George and Ross. If not, let me know and I
will email Eric again.

Re: Interesting variation of 2435 "transfer" bay window caboose

edwardbridges

I have two red and one brown version of this car and all three have
the number on the bay window.

One of them is in bad shape, the other two are practically MIB. I
am willing to part with the one in bad shape.

Re: Interesting variation of 2435 "transfer" bay window caboose

The Greenberg guide has three variations in color listed: tuscan, red, and
yellow. The tuscan must be the brown one (no guarantee). I have only the red one
and George has the brown one on his site. I've never seen a yellow one.
