Re: New A1G "accumulator"
Ah, finally some "traffic" on the A1G list! It's good to hear that you are trying to complete an "accumulation" of the first generation Atlas cars Edward. I did this about 4 (already THAT many years

Odd car
I recently purchased a boxcar off ebay which was sold as Atlas 2363 PRR 47011. I also purchased the actual 2363. I think the cars were swapped in their boxes. I have posted a picture of the odd boxcar

Re: Odd car
Hi Edward, You're right, the first one you bought is not an A1G car. The 2363 is a wood box car with road number 39857. The one in your picture is probably a Con-Cor 1001E. Does it have any indication

Re: Odd car
Oops, I forgot you said you hadn't received the car as yet. When it does arrive, look underneath to see if there is a manufacturer indicated. Of course, even if it did start out to be a Con-Cor 1001E,

Re: Odd car

Re: Question about a referigerator cars place of manufacture
Edward, Somebody must have replaced the original underframe with one from an Atlas Roco car. The Miller car was definitely made by Rivarossi and should just have "Atlas" underneath as George stated.

Question about a referigerator cars place of manufacture
I recently purchased a #2394, Miller High Life 40' refirgerator car. I thought it was odd that the underframe says Atlas Austria on it. Wasn't this car made by Rivarossi in Italy? BTW...This car

Re: Question about a referigerator cars place of manufacture
I will defer to Charlie for a second opinion on this, but my copy of the Miller car and the other refrigerators I have in this group (MDT, ATSF El Cap, Morrell, Safeway, Carnation Milk, IC, REA) all

Re: Question about a referigerator cars place of manufacture
Many thanks for the input on my question. I sort of figured it wasn't original, but wanted to ask the experts. I do have some straight Atlas boxcar frames here in my junk box, so will restore this car

Passenger Cars et al
Hi all... glad to see some life in this board! A few thoughts... With respect to the passenger cars being put up on the A1G website, yes, it's certainly something I'd consider. Although Rivarossi and

Re: Passenger Cars et al
I own about 25 or so of the old Atlas engines as well aa a few of the passenger cars, many of them still in their original boxes. If needed, I could scan what I have for your use on the site. I would
