In my case, the right side isn't fully flat.
The left side has about 2mm of plastic before the screw starts, while the right side (seems) to be worn past the non-screw part straight to the screw. Because of this, the right side only has contact with the gear tower about 50% of the circle.
Is the worm screw (plastic) removable from the metal rod ?
I may try and shift around the placement to see if it is the right side thats the problem.
