Yes, it was an HO model discussed in the March 1955 Model Railroader.
I'm up to September 1956 now, and there have been several mentions of "HHO" or "Half HO" Gauge in that year's issues so far.? There was also mention of a book "Modeling in OOO Gauge" in the May 1956 MR.?
We're getting closer to the introduction of N Scale, and then A1G.? But still not there yet.
