The vampire looked at Zuriel with a surprised expression on her face. Sister? Zuriel and Tempest were siblings? She let it sink in a moment then, noticing the pain this subject was causing, she instinctively reached out and placed a hand on his (their) shoulder.

"Your sister? She never mentioned a sibling," Scarlett murmured, giving Zuriel's shoulder a slight squeeze. "You are different from one another, she is not Nephilim. And you are not a vampire. Unless there is more to one...or both of you...than meets the eye."

The redhead left her hand on his shoulder, "What did she do to you?"

And that one action pushed into the arms of one who changed the course of her destiny, mine and seemingly yours as well. Betrayal is her trigger and we both have committed that offense where she is concern. Now she wants her pound of flesh.¡±
