"You... do not stink," Gen said after a moment, choosing his words carefully.? The androgyne looked like he might say more, but then kept it to himself.? "I know about pheromones," he said finally.? "I just don't know when it's okay to use them, is all.? They didn't teach me that."? He muttered an added resentful "Not hard to guess why."

He took the basket of clothes Akira had helped him pick out and turned towards the rear of the building.? "I believe the room for changing is back there somewhere.? I'll come back when I've put these new things on, and then you can tell me what you think.? And please, be honest," he added.? "Otherwise I won't really know what's good.? And I want to know what's good.? They didn't really cover that in any of the training manuals I was given."

Akira chuckled, "pheromones aren't something one can control. They just are. Glad to know that I don't stink."
Akira followed Gen to the fitting rooms. "I can come in with you and sit outside of the changing stall, that way you won't have to come out here to show me your outfit. There are benches inside. Come on." Akira led the way into the male?side of the changing rooms and took a seat on one of the benches in front of one of the empty stalls. "See, you go in there, get something new on and come out here for me to see. Simple."
