Victoria sighed but then she stood and came to sit by her father.??¡°I love you and mother dearly.? I do. However I have always been the outcast in our world. Whereas people fawn and throw themselves at Colin, they discard and ridicule me. I have heard the whispered that I am the daughter one of your servants who was killed while defending you. I have heard that you found me in the forest. As I was growing up you and mother refused to speak on my origins. I let it go until now. While it is true I do not want my love life decided for me, knowing that I was once again discard as nothing has ripped open a long tender scar.¡±
(Vincent/Colin) Vincent sighed. He knew that there would come a time when she and Colin would want to know the truth of the origins and they were old enough now, to know and understand, he hoped. "I wish your brother was home so that you could both learn this truth, together...."
Just as Vincent was finishing his thought, Colin walked into the room. He was rather cheerful as he poured himself a bit of bourbon, "Truth about what?" He asked as he took a seat.
Vincent didn't inquirer about the cheerfulness, instead answered his son's question, "your and Tori's origins. I am glad that you are both here. It is time you knew the truth about your parents, Lord Draven and Lady Anais" He pulled up his sleeves and looked at his children. "You know that our histories are stored in the blood. It will be easier for you to see than for me to tell. Please," He held his arms up for his children to decide for themselves.
