Evone¡¯ hadn¡¯t quite been feeling herself lately. Which was so strange because she and Andrew had been in a state of bliss. Their days were spent caring for the particular duties on ship, while their nights were spent making love, or talking or simply just quietly enjoying each other¡¯s company. She never imagined she could be so happy. But she was. Even if sea sickness seemed to be taking her more and more lately.

So when he interrupted her reading for a surprise, she happily put her book down, ¡°you know I love surprises,¡± she said as she closed her eyes and stood up.
Evone¡¯ chuckle as she did so. ¡°How am I suppose to followed with my eyes closed.¡± But somehow she managed.

When he told her to uncover her eyes and she found herself standing at the deck, at first she was puzzled. That confusion showed on her face until he explained. Then her face lit up and she threw herself in his arms. ¡°Thank you. Thank you so much,¡± she said kissing his lips over and over again. ¡°I love you so much.¡±

It was midday the next day when the Elusive sailed into the port of Brest.? It did not take long for Andrew to find a berth for his ship and to engage a carriage to travel to the village where Evone's father lived.? Though Andrew had been to France before, he'd never traveled through this part of it.

"It's rather lovely," he said to Evone' as they rode past the lush woods and vineyards along the way.? "Is your father's estate like this?"
