He watched as the girl Misty demonstrated her weather control power, drawing snow from the air around them.? It was barely more than a flurry, and a small one at that, but he thought it had a certain charm.? "Impressive," he said.

Roddy scowled for a moment when Misty suggested that using the word "mutie" could get him beaten up, muttering "I'd like to see'em try."? But he quickly calmed himself, remembering that he needed to make a good impression if he wanted to stay.? And with the alternative being sent back to jail and possibly prison, he very much wanted to stay.

When asked what he could do, the young mutant hesitated.? "I can... focus electrical charges," he said finally.? "I can cause them to build up on a target until lightning strikes it.? It's not something I could show you in here though," he said, glancing around the upper floor where they'd ascended to.? "At least, not safely.? Maybe later.? Somewhere outside."? He winced a bit as he added "I'll probably have to demonstrate for your head honchos or whoever runs this place.? I can show you then."

Misty was rather impressed by what Roddy told her, "lightening, really...that's pretty cool. You should be called Bolt or Lightening Rod or something like that. I can create rain, you could create the lightening to go with it...that would be a neat show." She then shrugged, "Ms. Mia and Ms. Del have never asked any student to do anything they don't want to. So, if you don't want to show them, you don't have to. Here is your room. Your room mate is Donovan, he goes by Donny most of the time. Right now he is probably yard working out...so you can check out the room on your own. Have any questions?"

Del looked up as Mia came into their office.? "Oh, hi, hon," she said, standing up to give her co-head - and lover - a quick embrace.? "I heard we've got a new arrival, courtesy of the PVPD.? They didn't mistreat him, I hope?"

"I was thinking," she went on, returning to her desk, "that we could expand our plans for a gym/training room.? We have the land for it.? It's just a matter of coming up with the funding." She unrolled a set of architectural drawings for Mia to look over.? "What do you think?"

Mia returned the embrace with a quick peck on Del's cheek, "no so much mistreat him as brought him in handcuffs after we specifically told them to stop doing that. His name is Roddy and Misty is helping him get settled." She walked to the drawings, "I see you put it in the yard where...yep," she looked out the window, "Donny is currently doing his afternoon workouts. Why didn't we just do it when we had the place built." She said before continuing. "Funding, thought we were okay with funds for expansions?"
