Also, 26083 is now repainted and back in service. This means 26081-3 of the original 4x 54 branded buses have been done. 26084 hasn't worked since its fire in April but has been debranded. The movements above officially move them now to the reserve pool upon the disbanding of the special Covid reserve). In addition, 'standard' Scania/E400s 15589/90/91/92 (GX10 HAE/AO/AU/BA) are expected from Stagecoach Merseyside and will be allocated to Barnsley.? These are a straight swap for Gold specification Scania/E400s 15535 and 15609-11 which are going in the opposite direction. One 'quirk' of the service changes from the beginning of September is the movement of the majority of vehicle workings on services 93/95 (Barnsley - Wooley/Kexborough) to Rawmarsh depot.? During the daytime, 4 of the 6 hourly journeys on the 93/5 will be worked by Rawmarsh (interworked off the 226 and 22X), with Barnsley providing 2 vehicle workings per hour. Ian |

Wright StreetLite 39116 (SN18 XXD) is the latest recipient?here of the new Stagecoach livery. From the start of the new academic term, Stagecoach have picked up the 7 bus network of services operated under contract to Doncaster New College, which run from areas around Doncaster - as far out as Gainsborough and Crowle - to and from the college.? The contract had previously been operated by Powells.? Most of the work will be covered by Stagecoach East Midlands (Scunthorpe and Gainsborough depots I believe), with one working, that between Mexborough and the College being operated by Stagecoach Yorkshire (Barnsley depot). Loosely connected to the above is the news that 'veteran' OmniDekka 15414 (YN54 VKD) - which still wears Yorkshire Traction livery - is being prepared to re-enter service having not seen use since the Covid19 outbreak started in March. Hi all
Another recent repaint in to the new Stagecoach livery is E200MMC 26024 (YX65 RAU) from Rawmarsh depot. Currently in for paint are an E400 from Ecclesfield and MAN/E300 22539 (YN57 MXF) from Rawmarsh. The 4 Scania/E300s at Rawmarsh (28675-8) are currently in the process of losing their X6 brandings. Also due to be de-branded are E200s 37089/90 (branded for the 70 Doncaster Park & Ride service) as neither service is expected to return any time soon. Ian |
