The first of the new Yutong E12s destined for Rawmarsh depot is now in the country and I gather at Pelican's facility at Castleford for fitting out (Pelican are the UK Yutong agent).
Delivery of all 23 - to be fleet numbers 73001-23 - was due by the end of March to allow all to enter service in April, but gather that won't now happen due to the situation in the Red Sea and the boats from China carrying these having to make a lengthy diversion.
Once all in service they will convert routes 22X (Barnsley - Rotherham) and 221 (Doncaster - Rotherham) to electric - or "electro" per the livery they will carry - operation.
