With the VIX ERG & Wayfarers, the vehicle number is stored on the baseplate, and read by the machine.?
However, some VIX machines seem to ¡®remember¡¯ the last vehicle they were on, and write that to the baseplate when fitted.?

Worth reminding people again that Bustimes.org does NOT track Buses.? It tracks ticket machines.? If a ticket machine is swapped between vehicles and the fleet number entered in to the ticket machine isn't updated the site will give the impression - as in this case - that bus 15645 has moved depots when it hasn't.

For whoever keeps changing 15645 on , it *HASN'T* transferred back to Chesterfield. It's still at Barnsley.
36993 is currently tracking as 15645, presume the ticket machine has been changed and the base plate hasn't recognised it.
