Hi Maureen,

I found an 1851 England census listing three sons that were born in Leeds before the children you mentioned.? They are:

William, b. ~1845
Joseph b. ~1847
Henry b. ~1849

In 1860, they are living in Paterson, New Jersey, USA, additional children, John, Mary and James.?

I found the FindAGrave memorial for James. I will try to find the rest of the family and link them.

I see border crossings from Canada to the U.S. starting with 1895.? Since James was born in Canada, is it possible that he went there first, then came down to New Jersey?? Border crossings between Canada and the U.S. may not have been strict at that time.??

Hopefully this helps.??
