Checking the baptisms for a Richard & Dorothy COOPER I found seven, all in Hampsthwaite Emily July 19th 1846 no occ for father Mary 1848 14th April father a Publican Eliza 1851 31st Jan father a Publican (note by whom, By the father of the child (the case being one of emergency) as certified to me, Thomas SHAN?)
