FYI - This is a reply to the same question I got on Facebook:

"The physical side button will not have (is not) MIDI controlled
You have CC7 & CC11 for midi volume
On a side thought. Each channel defaults to volume 100
I always used to crank mine up to 127.
Thinking a bit more about levels nowadays would 100 ¡®sort of equate¡¯ to 0db and 101-127 is there as headroom adjustment or do other folk have certain habits/technique on maximising output levels? ?"
