That¡¯s a good point about the battery leak possibility. ?It¡¯s worth mentioning if you mix baking soda (not baking powder) with vinegar it will actually help dissolve battery corrosion even more effectively than vinegar alone. ? Also if battery corrosion gets on the PCB you could use a good electronic contact cleaner spray to remove (at least some of) the surface corrosive battery chemicals without impacting the electronics...thus preventing more issues down the line.
?I have used this stuff to thoroughly clean the PCB (but I did make sure to remove PCB from case so as to not spray display, keyboard, etc).

Another thought (since is seems to boot up) is to do a blind factory reset... though this will cause you to lose all patterns and songs (except for presets).
