Attempts to use mine with wire antennas have been an exercise in fustration.? NOW they release that it will correct "up to a 3:1 mismatch" down to 2:1 or better -- not a lot of help when one is?trying to get a wire to tune from one end of the HF spectrum to the other.

Mine works.? Have about 2.5 feet of #8 between tuner and whip.? Hooked up laptop to 857D, worked Germany on RTTY?from truck in driveway.? Thinking of putting another in camper.
