Check the circuits and find the AGC line, it will close to the IF output, follow it back to the RF amp. There maybe a negative rail generator, if so check this is working. 73 For now Andrew ?Get BlueMail for Android ? On 13 Jul 2024, 13:04, at 13:04, Noel W2MSA <noelw2msa@...> wrote:

Re: FT-847 IN TX ALL TIMES
I never use this plug into the extension speaker socket.? It not needed if you use the mic input on the PC or laptop and use the amp on the soundcard to boost the signal get the desired input level.? I think was designed for soundcard interfaces that have low level input line-in only. ? 73 de Ian G8ZHC On Thu, 6 Jun 2024, 22:14 Greg D via , <ko6th.greg=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: FT-847 IN TX ALL TIMES
开云体育Ah, that's much better. So, a question:? With that bottom right connector going to the external speaker jack, the audio input to the computer's sound card becomes dependent on the volume setting on the front panel which is annoying and prone to error.? I presume it also interrupts the internal speaker, so can't simply be left in.? Is it needed? Greg? KO6TH Ian M via groups.io wrote:

开云体育Nice circuit, but it's slightly cropped.? The two plugs on the right...? The top one goes to the TRS Data I/O port; where does the lower one go, and what is the rest of the "USE THIS F..." text?? Seems to be important...Greg? KO6TH Ian M via groups.io wrote:

Re: FT-847 IN TX ALL TIMES
Quite agree this would be an improvement.? I used a 4N25 optocoupler on my FT-100 interface (that has a slightly different configuration) and still use it today with the FT817 Built several of these over?the years for myself and friends each one more nearer than the previous one.? It works both for SSB and FM and doesn't affect the CAT interface if you are not using the matching FC-20 auto atu.? 73 de Ian G8ZHC On Thu, 6 Jun 2024, 15:53 Spence G5STO via , <unavailable.equal=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: FT-847 IN TX ALL TIMES
This is what have been using for the last 25 years with the FT-847 with various data modes in both SSB & FM including FT-8 Credit goes to ( I think) Jim Barber N7CXI who co-wrote W95SSTV which it was initially designed for. Hope it helps 73 de Ian G8ZHC On Thu, 6 Jun 2024 at 15:08, K6EU via <wa4qvq=[email protected]> wrote:

Check to insure the MOX?button is not pushed in.? ?The MOX button is right under the power switch, easy to push by mistake. 73, Tom K6EU On Wed, Jun 5, 2024 at 11:56?AM Greg D via <ko6th.greg=[email protected]> wrote:

开云体育I have a 847 that had been
working fine until I started tinkering with the DATA IN/OUT jack
trying to interface a computer.? Now when I turn power on it is
in TX continually and cannot get it out? Nothing but DC power
and antenna connected.? Think something got blown on that
circuit.? Unable to make any changes. Anyone every working in
that area.? 73 Mike K4PI |
