Phil, I anticipated the problems, because at my old qth had bad swr and it was danger, that make me another problems.

Why would it matter what you have connected to it unless you are using a PC connection onto items as I said previously. The only other thing is RF getting back to the Radio, depending on your set up. This will shut your radio down, especially with something
like FT8 & fm which is full duty cycle. It might be better if you do a drawing and show your set up what you are actually using and how are you doing it. You will know if it¡¯s the internal battery, because if you change any settings you will lose them so you
can rule this out if it doesn¡¯t happen. ?

Also, I have had this radio cut out on me, when the 3v backup battery is failing or failed. And the only way I could make it work was by doing a full reset each time, and then everything works as it should, for a short time, it would read all
sorts of weird things and then it would finally give up the ghost & fail with error.?

you have perhaps enter HF to your 847, put the ferrit rods and some tours of cables on all enter cables, I use it from beginning and no problem.
