(1)) What is an NIB 6000? ?Since it is posted on this site I will guess you meant FTM-6000.
(2) Go to the Yaesu website. ?Find the FTM-6000 page. ?Select the ¡°files¡± tab. You will find a Programing Software ADMS-13 Instruction Manual file. That should answer your most of your questions. ?I have not tried the Yaesu programming software since the FT-70 which worked, but was clunky to the point of being almost comical. ?
(3) I use the RT-Systems software & cable (USB plugs in to the back of the main unit), works well.
(4] I believe the Data connection is for connection a Packet-TNC or SignaLink unit.
