At the same time it behoves us to try and partake of the calm faith of ??? who walks serenely in the valley of the shadow of death, knowing that Hashem is with him, and with us.? For us in the diaspora one of the must troubling aspects of this period is the way in which our enemies have coopted the language of morality, as if Israel was the genocidal criminal, and our enemies were fighters for freedom. ?? ????? ??????, it feels like the moral basis of society has been upended and ruined. But we know that the arbiter of morality is not in the Hague, nor does He write for the NY Times; ?' ???? ???? ???? ????? ??? ???? ????, Hashem distinguishes who is righteous, and the evil lovers of violence (???) are hated by Him.? We were able to send 5 duffle?bags with more than 1200 pairs of heavy crew socks that are badly needed by the soldiers in Gaza. We are well under way on our second drive and accumulating flashlights that are needed now. The ordering process is extremely easy and we urge everyone to participate in this vital?chesed project. YI MIDWOOD ISRAEL CHESED DRIVE #2

Baruch Hashem we had a very successful first drive and were able to send five duffle bags full of 222 packages [ each containing 6 pairs] of crew socks to our Chayalim. Tizku Lemitvos for your generosity last time and hope we can count on you again. Round two is up and running. ?
In collaboration with the Flatbush Community?Fund, shuls across the U.S. have partnered with the Just One Chesed distribution center in Efrat, Israel to supply the IDF soldiers with much needed items that are in short supply locally.
We are excited to join the 100+ shuls and participate in this program.
Each participating shul has been asked to collect one specific item from the request list to be distributed to army bases-? Our shul's second item is Flashlights The Amazon order link for our Shul is?

We see that happening in our own day, as Jew haters not only in Araby but also in Europe, Africa and even the United States unite in hostility to our people and our?just struggle. It has perhaps particular relevance this week in view of the travesty taking place in the Hague.? Chapter 124 beseeches Hashem to aid us when an ??? arises against us; R' Chaim Vital writes that this refers to ??????, who is called a ??? ???. ??? ????? ???? ?????? ??? ?'. |
