Hi All,
?
As many of you are aware there was talk at last year¡¯s reunion that we should try for a reunion every two years. To that end? a small committee consisting of John & Jo Rees, John Irwin, and myself with apologies from Pete Fraser met last Friday morning in Leeton to discuss things we might do for next year¡¯s event.
?
The date for Gala Day 2026 is yet to be confirmed by the P&C but we believe it will most likely be the 2nd or 3rd weekend in March¡.with the 2nd being the most likely. To that end Jo has pencilled in a booking for the Saturday night dinner at the Hydro. She has also got them to pencil in 10 rooms for the weekend of the 14th but we must stay Friday and Saturday night which would certainly work¡we will also look at doing similar for a couple of other motels.? Hopefully it will be the 2nd weekend because the 3rdweekend is booked out for a wedding at the Hydro¡so fingers crossed.
?
We thought too that we had probably done the school tours etc on the Friday? enough in recent times so we will simply aim to join the OYU reunion on Friday night and do a partner¡¯s dinner at Benvenuti. Saturday we are thinking maybe a run to Gala Day in the morning and maybe a visit to the Whitton Malthouse for lunch or afternoon tea followed by our Saturday night dinner. Sunday morning ¨C catch up for breakfast at Peddlers which is just opposite the Leeton PO.
?
So stay tuned and pencil in the suggested dates into your respective calendars and we will confirm as soon as possible.

Hi John I am hoping to be OK to attend a catch up next year.
Probably Lee also, assume around the Ides of March.
Are there any prebookings for accommodation needed or are you arranging bulk room bookings? Cheers Dave Sanderson.

At various times at the last reunion we talked about bringing the reunions down to every two years. That being the case we would then be looking to catch up in a couple of weeks plus 12 months. Long way round for saying 2026 :0) . If you
would like to do that, let me know and we can start tossing around some ideas. As usual we'd probably aim for the OYU reunion at Leeton RSL then Gala Day followed by our own dinner that night...probably at the Hydro. If there's enough interest I might try
and get in early with the Hydro as we were beaten to most of the accommodation there last year.
We had a really good catch up with the local group yesterday here in Wagga with eight of us and quite a few apologies......we aim to have another one in late May over at Narrandera...if you reckon you'd be in the area then do let me know
as I have a local email group I send these info emails out to.
Oh and happy birthday to Bruce Ingrey today - I am sure we all hope you have a great day
?Thanks John We would be interested ?Regards Graeme and Lyn

Hi all,

Peter will be laid to rest at a private service in Coolamon tomorrow. At 4pm at The Royal Hotel in Coolamon people are invited to remember him. I am going to
try to get there. Don will also be going.

Peter was a better sportsman than his stature would lead us to expect. I? had the pleasure of being involved in a play with him.

Subject: [YAHS64] Peter Lewis - RIP
Hi All,
?
Received some sad news today that Peter Lewis has passed away after a long illness. I hadn¡¯t seen Pete since not long after leaving school but as a kid I used to knock around with
him and of course he ended up at Yanco as part of the 1965 cohort. He went on to marry Ken Armstrong¡¯s sister Helen but they separated years later. I did run into a couple of his sisters a couple of years ago over in Coolamon but outside of that no other contact.
?
Hoping to get to the funeral but no details yet.
?
Sad news¡RIP Peter.
?
Outside of that, all well here as we move into Xmas¡looking like a hot one but nothing unusual
J . Hope to get another local get together going in January, most likely in Wagga.
?
All the best
