Most of the information and DNA cousins I have found put me in the John Wallin b. 1750, 5th and youngest sons line. I believe that James is the son of Isaac Wallen who is the youngest son of John (1750) and his second wife Elizabeth Roberts. James and my great grandmother Anne had 2 children, Maude (1890) and John (1892). That is all I know about James!!

Anne married Leander Evans in 1896 either after James died or left the family. The children were raised as Evans. John (1892) married Amanda Alice Newsom in 1915 and had 3 children, Ruby, Leroy, and John Jr (1920). John Sr (1892) died young soon after his last child was born. His wife Alice, my grandmother, married Hartley Combs in 1930. The 2 boys adopted the name Combs. I am the oldest son of Leroy Combs but in the direct genetic line of Elisha Wallen.

I have an 11th great grandfather, Andreas Osiander in Nuremberg, who was active in the Lutheran Reformation. There are accounts that, because of a theological dispute between the two, they split up and went their own way.

I have heard that Elisha Wallen (The Longhunter)? is a possible distant relative.

Thomas Wallin

Joshua Wallin

Andrew Jackson Wallin are my ancestors.??? Thomas was born in Virginia and came to Texas via Alabama.

Mary Blevins is also a distant relative.

?

Would love to find a connection.
