Good morning again.
We have "people" constantly electronically attacking us on the daily basis. No mater who you are.? Non profits/clubs are no exception.
This week some degenerate has been attempting to scam our board members by acting like they are sending mail from me.
Keep this in mind.? I do not send emails from "president@..." our board member email addresses are forwarders/relays.? If you get an email from one of these email addresses, they aren't us. It is usually someone "spoofing" the address.? These email addresses are published, so that our personal email addresses don't have to be, and to prevent our personal addresses from experiencing these attempts.
Additionally be very leery of anyone asking for you to send or spend money.? Money things are addressed in our meetings. Always know that you are talking to the person that you think you are.? IE call the person. Or generate an email to that person(do not simply reply, use YOUR known email address for the person).
This isn't to scare people, this is to warn and advise.? I do not want any of our members(or anyone at that) to get scammed by these people.? If you want to discuss this, or explore this topic more.? Please email me at mike@...
