What time on Saturday will be best for newer operators to come out for the GOTA? I¡¯d love to swing out for a bit and get a little more hands on but my time is limited this weekend and want to make the most of it.?

Hi Don,

I think the premise for this year's GOTA station is to allow for first-time operators or individuals who don't feel confident working the club station to have another alternative. This will operate under my callsign (KJ7SS) and class (1B MT).?

We'll use my station as more of a 'radio fundamentals' station, talking about the radio itself, antennas, propagation, etc. while saving the club station for more of the traditional Field Day operations.

Let me know if you have any questions,
