I think you need a valid project and you also need significant matching funds to be competitive and for those reasons I would not expect that GHRC would submit on this. There might be some future opportunity where we have an actual project that meets the eligibility requirements of the Grant program and if we had some significant amount of matching funds, say something like 50% that could look appealing to ARRL and we would have a valid application.?
Even if the grant program is not requiring matching funds, there is no doubt that some level of investment by the club thereby making the Grant supplementary will be advantageous for a successful application.

Mark, Pres, remarked during Field Day 2024 that a controller (other than him!) for the GHRC antenna¡¯s rotation would probably increase our number of contacts during Field Days. Carol KA7ROL and Pat(rick) KK7KGP P.S. We enjoyed making contacts on June 22. Thank you for mentoring us ¡ª Mark and Spencer!

Sue,
Wow great info.? It will need to be brought up and decided on at this next club meeting.? That will be the tough one.? I don't think the club even has signage/banners to set up for field day or any other event that it will do.? So I see a need for a banner.? Other items will need to be discussed at the meeting.? Would you be able to write a grant by the deadline?? It seems to be a quick turn around.? We should really try.

Thoughts? Grants up to $25k available.?
I¡¯m happy to help draft. I would need the technical expertise from others.?
Note the short turnaround time -?
Friday Jul 26. ? 4 weeks away.?
It would be a shame not to try and take advantage of.?
